Founder of Craft Beer Professionals Named a 2022 Signifier
Norfolk, VA. – The Founder of Craft Beer Professionals (CBP), Andrew Coplon, has been named to Good Beer Hunting’s 2022 Signifiers list. This honor is bestowed annually to those leaders and innovators in the craft beer community that are “shaping the future of the industry” in positive and lasting ways.
Coplon created an online community in 2017 as a way to bring people from all over the country together over a common bond – beer. While it certainly grew and facilitated conversations from homebrewer to professionals, it was in 2020 that it became a game changer. In the midst of a pandemic, Coplon opted to host his first online virtual conference for CBP. He credits the need for community and interaction for its success and, now, hosts two in-person events per year and countless virtual sessions/panels with the online community growing to over 16k members.
“In 2022 we were successfully able to translate the Craft Beer Professionals experience into intimate and interactive in-person workshops,” explains Coplon, “We are thankful for those who joined us. We are excited to grow our in-person opportunities and provide more value to our community, both in-person and virtually. As the industry grows, we will continue to curate educational resources designed to help industry professionals see greater success. Making great beer is a necessity, and we hope the CBP content, conversation, and community are a vital asset in your toolkit.”
On a more personal note, Coplon says of this honor, “I am truly lucky to spend each day getting to know and learn from the wonderful people that make up our industry. CBP is a community and I am honored to be on this adventure with you.”
